MOBILITY AND URBAN REGENERATION

URBAN FUTURE

We design architectural systems like railway stations and solutions for mobility and urban regeneration. From the design of railway stations and airports, to cycle and pedestrian infrastructures, to parking facilities, and to the regeneration of urban spaces related to them. We create architecture projects for a new mobility to make cities more interconnected and livable, clean. We believe that architecture is crucial for ensuring safety and spatial independence, enabling their full and effective participation in society. Therefore we integrate sustainable approaches to enhance the user experience in the world of mobility, contributing to a smart and connected urban future.

BEAUTIFICATION

The restyling project of the Valle Aurelia station in Rome is part of the initiative to improve the railway infrastructure of the FS Group. For this reason, RFI – Italian Railway Network, concessionaires and railway operators and various local authorities have started a process of transformation and revaluation of stations throughout the national territory. The new façade of the Valle Aurelia station had to respond to the need to hide the volumes containing the mobile and pedestrian stairs that lead to the platform level. For the parts with perforated covering we chose to use painted aluminum expanded metal, with a 180° rotation compared to traditional installation. Thus obtaining a more covering effect that confuses the view of the volumes that were wanted to be hidden up close, remaining light, filtering and transparent when seen from a distance.

Railway Station Marina di Cerveteri Rome (RM)

Mobility - Marina di Cerveteri

The Restyling project Railway Station Marina di Cerveteri Rome transforms a functional urban area into a place of interconnections between people. Open towards the urban area and towards the track side. This is represented by the precise warping and composition of the slats. Slats that work as sunscreens. The Railway Station is unique, in particular also due to its landscape position, close to the sea and the historic center of Cerveteri. The project strives for a new spatial solutions and focus on nascent architecture to achieve the fusion of urban context, human and design.

SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY

The restyling project of the Railway Station Vigna Clara Rome entrusted in 2016 provides for the complete recovery of the old building. The overall restyling was completed in 2021 which states an important first step towards the closure of the railway ring and a fundamental goal for the sustainable mobility of northern Rome. The structure is characterized by a single opening, a bow window, which is identified as a visual door onto the railway tracks from which it is possible to observe the entire conformation of the station, the will that it reflects and its relationship with the urban context.

Railway Station Gemelli Rome (RM)

Station Gemelli Rome

The Gemelli Rome Railway Station project idea is based on the study of the multiple urban/architectural fronts of which the station is composed. Building “A” at the entrance is in direct connection with the urban expressway artery of Via della Pineta Sacchetti. The relationship with the city of this entrance is essentially expressed through speed – the movement of the vehicular flow and the relationship given by a public space in front.

The design introduces a new urban space that is both elevated and oriented towards the stunning sea views, serving as a suspended gateway that bridges the town with its coastal landscape. The project transforms the station into a vibrant focal point, harmonizing the built environment with the natural beauty of Santa Margherita Ligure, while enhancing the experience for residents and visitors alike.

SENSE OF NATURE

The restyling project of Vibo Pizzo Railway Station idea is identified in the desire to mend the various parts of the general urban plan with the natural surrounding.
